5 pounds of pure sweetness

Baby_2

I should have known something was amiss when I felt the uncontrollable urge to make baby blankets...he was coming WAAAAAY sooner than expected.  I think they call it "nesting", which makes me think of a mama bird frantically gathering as many twigs as she can to prepare for her new little chicks. That's exactly how I felt, though TERRIFIED at the same time.  Yep, frantic and terrified is exactly how I'd describe it. Placental abruption, pain, contractions...it was too soon! But this sweet little babe is absolutely PERFECT. He's a teensy-tinsy little bug, born at just 36 weeks-- 5 lbs 7 ounces, 18 inches, with the most adorable button nose and furry little cheeks that I could nuzzle all day. Oh, I am in LOVE! He's doing wonderfully: eats, sleeps, and poops like a champ, and hardly makes a peep. Now if only we could decide on a name...

For all those who so kindly placed apron/kit orders, I'm doing my best to get them all out ASAP. As you can imagine, the little dude put a rather large kink in my plans and I'm moving a bit slower due to the c-section. The kits will all finish going out tomorrow, and I'm hoping to have the rest of the ready-mades completed soon! Please don't hesitate to email me with any questions or concerns. My sincerest apologies for taking so long.

p.s. THANK YOU, Jayne, for making the previous post. Love ya chicka!!

A Beautiful Bundle Of Love & Joy....

Kimsblog_itsaboy_5

has arrived...yes, a tad earlier than expected but as healthy & beautiful as can be!

Baby and Mama are doing fine, although, as a result of the early arrival all of the Delilah apron shipments haven't made it out to post yet.  So, if you are waiting on the arrival of an apron or apron kit please don't panic that your order has gone missing or is not being filled.  As soon as Kim gets home with the bambino the remaining orders will be prepared for shipment.

Until then, if you have any questions you can contact me and I'll see to it that Kim gets your messages.

   Ciao!

The low-down

WOW!  Has it really been SIX MONTHS?! As they say, the time has flown. Absolutely zipped right by! I thought I better pop my little head in here and give a brief update for anyone still checking in:
-Life is good!
-Kids are great.
-It's a BOY!. (I'm 35 weeks, can you believe it? Just a few weeks left.)
-It was a solid 7 months of the pukies, but I'm feeling good now. Hooray!
-Busy furnishing/decorating the new house now that I can actually get off the couch.
-Still no yard- just a GIANT dirt pile. Lots of fun for the kids, not so much for Mommy.
-Nope, no name for the babe either. Ideas?

That's about it! I hate to complain about being pregnant or use it as an excuse, but the truth is-- I suck at it. Some women were made to carry babies. I, unfortunately, was not. Don't get me wrong, we are so very, very grateful to be having this little guy. It just comes with months and months of torture to get him here. Absolutely worth it, but we are DONE at three. This mama is simply not cut out for more. :)

Our next item of business: Aprons-
Yes, I still make them. I've got bolts and BOLTS of fabulous fabric to use. I wasn't *feelin* it for a few months, but I'm ready to dive in again for a bit before baby arrives. (And will continue afterwards if I feel able!) I have a need to create, and it's very rewarding to be able to be Mommy and make something that people are willing to spend their hard earned $ on. I sincerely thank you for the support! **That being said, there's a new apron in the shop. :) Only 25 of this particular style, either kit or ready-made version. Hope you like!**

Okay friends, next post will be MUCH more timely than the last-- and cuter too.
Best~
Kim
