Monday, Monday
So it's 11:00 at night, but it's technically still *Monday*, right? I promised I'd have a new apron up, and I'm true to my word. You can check it out over in the shop if you're interested. When I showed a sneaky-peek to Jayne earlier this afternoon, she said it was so summery, it reminded her of a BombPop of sherbet dipped in chocolate. Oooo-la-la! Sherbie and chocolate?! Yo, ice-cream man...I'll take one of those! :)
Boy, it's been a loooooong day. I'll sure be happy when the new house is DONE! I swear, this whole building thing is torture. Pure TORTURE!!! We're going on 14 months (they said it'd take 7! Uuuuuuuuuhhh, right!) and the end is finally in sight. Only a few more weeks to go. Poor *Henry* is about to drive himself mad over the whole thing. He's a "details man", and with so many details involved, he's worrying himself sick. Today we found out the accent tile that we'd picked out months ago-- that is supposed to be going into our master bathroom tomorrow morning, didn't get ordered with the rest of the stuff. BLAST! Needless to say, we spent all afternoon scrambling to find a replacement to no avail. Not to mention the hours before that rethinking paint colors, only to change our minds back to the originals in the end. *sigh* Like I said....LONG day, and I'll be so grateful when these beautiful summer days can be filled with fun things instead of torturous house decisions. How do you like what it's looking like so far?

LOL!! I couldn't resist. I needed a bit of humor, even if I'm the only one that thinks it's funny. This was actually a photo of some of the CUTEST props my friend Lindsay used for her sweet DD's 3 year old birthday party a week ago-- Complete with pony rides and all. Liv was in buckeroo HEAVEN! Anyhow, I'll show pics of the real house soon. As I was searching for a good one to show, I realized that all the shots I have are really old. It's a much cuter house now. Sort of cape-cod meets traditional, with a bit of a craftsman twist. OY, I hope it turns out. Wish us luck!

We built (and then sold) a house that meets your funky description two years ago. Building was by no means a relaxing way to spend my time. I loved planning and choosing but re-planning and re-choosing to correct errors are no fun at all. It's true about the pics though, things seem to move slow but then you look at the photos and they're out of date! Show us some soon! I'd love to see them!

My birthday's today ...I may just have to buy one for myself! LOL Let's see ...a pedicure, a bit of Tar-Jay shopping and a new OJ&Co. apron! What more could a girl want?! :) Have a great day Kim!

I don't know, I think the red barn is pretty cute. ;) I can't even imagine how much work has gone into that house. I am thinking about just redoing our counter tops and putting in hardwood floors and just THAT stresses me out.
Your new apron is FABULOUS! You are just killing me. Do you think I could justify yet another apron? Hmmmmm. Maybe Kelly wouldn't notice...

You are just too cute for words. The house will be perfect, I just know it. :) And that apron is perfection. Definitely summery and that striped fabric is delicious! That Jayne described them perfectly. :) She's got such a way with words (except when it comes to a 'loft' of a barn). Guess that's from living so long in the big city. :) Love ya to pieces. So excited for you getting those kits posted.

I'm a details person too so have long ago decided that I'd postpone building a house for as long as possible because it would drive me crazy! Poor Henry! Still, I'm sure it'll be lovely once done!
Went to the store to check out the new apron and it was all sold out! Good job! Maybe I'll catch a peek the next time you post a new apron before they are snapped up!

I check your blog all the time - and how in the world has your new apron kit sold? I was checking almost everyday since the blog entry where you mentioned you were going to put them up - of course I started to lose hope, when I got on yesterday to find that they're already all sold out. Argh!!! Please put more up as soon as possible...I wanted one. Oh, will you have any that are full-aprons? Maybe your halter one in a full apron pattern would be great. I would for sure buy one.

LOL!! I feel ya!! I'm feeling the same way about our floor right now! We have the hardwood floor installed, but there always seems to be a problem.. one piece of wood is chipped.. the guys come back and fix it.. the baseboard isn't tacked on right.. the guys come back and fix it.. and so on. Couldn't they just do it right the first time??! LOL Then we have to finish with the painting.. oy..will we ever get this job done? :)
