Monday, Monday

So it's 11:00 at night, but it's technically still *Monday*, right?  I promised I'd have a new apron up, and I'm true to my word.  You can check it out over in the shop if you're interested.   When I showed a sneaky-peek to Jayne earlier this afternoon, she said it was so summery, it reminded her of a BombPop of sherbet dipped in chocolate.  Oooo-la-la!  Sherbie and chocolate?!  Yo, ice-cream man...I'll take one of those!  :)

Boy, it's been a loooooong day.  I'll sure be happy when the new house is DONE!  I swear, this whole building thing is torture.  Pure TORTURE!!!  We're going on 14 months (they said it'd take 7! Uuuuuuuuuhhh, right!) and the end is finally in sight.  Only a few more weeks to go.  Poor *Henry* is about to drive himself mad over the whole thing.  He's a "details man", and with so many details involved, he's worrying himself sick.  Today we found out the accent tile that we'd picked out months ago-- that is supposed to be going into our master bathroom tomorrow morning, didn't get ordered with the rest of the stuff.   BLAST!  Needless to say, we spent all afternoon scrambling to find a replacement to no avail.  Not to mention the hours before that rethinking paint colors, only to change our minds back to the originals in the end.  *sigh*  Like I said....LONG day, and I'll be so grateful when these beautiful summer days can be filled with fun things instead of torturous house decisions.   How do you like what it's looking like so far?

Partyhouse

LOL!!  I couldn't resist.  I needed a bit of humor, even if I'm the only one that thinks it's funny.  This was actually a photo of some of the CUTEST props my friend Lindsay used for her sweet DD's 3 year old birthday party a week ago-- Complete with pony rides and all.  Liv was in buckeroo HEAVEN!  Anyhow, I'll show pics of the real house soon.  As I was searching for a good one to show, I realized that all the shots I have are really old.  It's a much cuter house now.  Sort of cape-cod meets traditional, with a bit of a craftsman twist.  OY, I hope it turns out.    Wish us luck!

Apronpalooza randomness

Yo.  Check this!  Go on, take a look for yourself.  And sign up if you're interested.  :)  (You only have until Friday night, so act quickly.)

............................

Since we're talking about aprons (yet again!  LOL) I'll give you the skinny on the kits.  I *think* we've got the copyright stuff worked out, I'm testing the patterns as we speak, ordering more fabrics+trim, and will have them available MONDAY!  Yes, I'm giving myself a deadline.  Otherwise, I get working on other exciting new projects and don't focus on the stuff already in the pipes.  (One of my ultimate weaknesses.  I'm so sorry.  It's that short attention span again.)

............................

Just because this post needs a splash of color cheeriness, I found this lovely thing at Target.com.  Time to make the hour long trek to the big Tar-jay and try it on for size.  Add a cardi, and I'm good to go.

I'm not in love with the metallic strappy sandals though.  Nothing against shiny silver straps.  I'm just not feeling 'em.  These are much more my style.

Hey, I figure if I'm wearing a dress that makes me look like a cupcake, I might as well have shoes that look like frosting.  A bit over the top?  Maybe.  But what's not to love about cupcakes and frosting?!   I can't think of much.  :)

Enjoy your weekend, my friends.
